As part of the 2017 Plano International Festival, Plano Art Association will stage an important art exhibit at Gallery@Courtyard through October 23. This will coincide with the 13th annual Plano International Festival on October 14 in downtown Plano.

The exhibit will primarily feature the work of Plano Art Association members, in addition to other artists from the North Texas area. The theme of the show is “Global Reflections. Art, the Universal Language.”

A special reception will be held on Thursday, September 28, at Gallery@Courtyard from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. The public is invited. In addition to the great art to be viewed, there will be live music and tasty hors d’oeuvres, courtesy of Central Market.

A special highlight of the reception is the People’s Choice Award, where all guests can name their favorite artwork in the show with an award presented at the end of the evening. “Everyone really looks forward to the People’s Choice Award,” stated Nuray Fuller, the PAA coordinator of the exhibit, and a board member of the Plano International Festival. “It really engages our guests and encourages them to look closely at all the artwork. They can even talk to the artists, so it’s a fun, interactive evening all around.”

Hours of the exhibit at Gallery@Courtyard are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
